Ulta and Target Haul/Review

Who else loves Ulta? :) (and Target!)

I went today for some summer makeup and for the BOGO sale
 I  bought at Ulta:
-NYX Jumbo eye stick in Milk
-NYX Jumbo eye stick in Iced Mocha
-Covergirl eye enhancers in Mink
-Covergirl Aqua Smoother T.M (light to medium)
-Maybelline Fit Me foundation (115)
-Smashbox Iconic Eyes kit

At Target:
-Elf essentials lipstick in Seductive
-Elf essentials lipstick in Classy
-Elf essentials lip gloss in Vixen

                                                                (milk, iced mocha)
NYX Sticks:  I love these, I also have the shade yogurt, which is a nice taupe/peach.

Milk-  I had to repurchase the shade Milk, because I lost my first one D: I love the Milk stick, it is one of the greatest buys, and has so many purposes. I use it to highlight, prime, and to lighten up harsh looks.
Iced Mocha- I love this shade, I think it will be great under light shadows and darker shades. I can't wait to use it with my NAKED palette.

Eye Enhancers Shadow Mink- I heard about this shadow from a video by the lovely Emily Eddington (emilynoel83) Someone said it was a dupe for a Mac shadow (Woodwinked?) I own no Mac shades, so I can't attest to this. The shade is beautiful, a very nice shimmery beige. Not too shimmery, but just enough for me. I think this shade would look nice on blue eyed people, it looks nice on my green eyes too. Has good pigmentation and lasting power with a proper primer.

Aqua Smoother- I love the ELF essentials t.m, so I was excited to buy this. This is not nearly as much coverage, but I don't need much. I think I may mix it with the ELF when I reorder. The shade Light to Medium has a descent color to it. I bought the Fair to Light first, and saw it was almost translucent with kind of a pink color. It was okay, and would be good for paler people, but not for me. It does last to what I tested it to today, it was about 90 degrees here, so very hot and humid, and it stayed put without a powder.
(top- Aqua Smoother, bottom- Fit Me Foundation)

Fit Me Foundation- I LOVE this. I heard many mixed reviews on this, saying it was too dewy, and not enough coverage. I rarely need much coverage, and love the dewy look, so this was perfect for me. I think it holds up decently in the humid weather where I am. For best look and wear, prime your face first, apply this with a brush, and then set with a powder. The variety of shades is awesome, and mine is a perfect match. This foundation is super blendable, and does layer nicely.

Smashbox Iconic Eye Kit: This kit is AWESOME. It normally is 50 dollars, but I bought it marked down to 15, which is astounding. The cream liners are beautiful and quite pigmented. The shadows have good pigmentation and are blendable as well. The primer is great, but I prefer TFSI (too faced shadow insurance). The brushes are nice, I especially like the liner brush. I will post another blog with swatches and 2 looks from this palette, and a better review.

This kit includes:
-Mini photo finish lid primer
-Bionic mascara (jet black)
-Eye shadow palette (iconic eyes)
-Cream liner duo (infamous)
-Shadow brush #32
-Precision Liner Brush #28

                                                                            (classy, vixen,seductive)
Elf Lipsticks- I love these, great color, great staying power. Can't wait to buy more C:
Classy- This is a gorgeous, classic pink, and is quite creamy.
Seductive- A beautiful,  rosy coral red.

Elf Gloss- I love this shade, it is so beautiful, like a coraly red, but sheer. It looks awesome on the shade above, Seductive.  The gloss is not too sticky, and I like the push applicator.

I started a blog?

Yes! I started a blog. I doubt many will read this, but I figure I need an intro blog. I think I want this blog to be about makeup (reviews, tutorials, looks) but also cooking/baking. As you may gather form the title, I'm  young, 16, love to cook, and love makeup. I will be a senior in High School in 2 months, so I'm currently being a bum in summer vacation mode. :)

So to those who read this and are curious, what would you like to see as my first makeup look, or recipe?
